These Things We Use
Artists from Raminging

These Things We Use features new work from senior and emerging artists, including Judy Baypungala, Julie Djulibing, Robyn Djunginy, Elizabeth Djakurrurr, Namiyal Bopirri, Daisy Ganyala, Michelle Banalanydju, Linda Ganyala, Maisy Cameron, Reynelle Nulla and Julie-Anne Gitjpulu.

The exhibition includes traditional woven objects, such as Mindirr (Dilly Bags) and Fish Traps, as well woven bottles and coil baskets. Using the leaves of the Pandanus (or Screw Palm) and dyed with pigments from various roots and figs, the artists of Ramingining create works of resonance and beauty. Combining traditional skills with innovative new approaches, These Things We Use explores the variety and vibrancy of Indigenous weaving.
